These are some general tips to help you.

>Goal<
most pivoteers have a goal in animating,to either get eliet or to entertain.
Choose a goal and stick to it.

>finding a stickfigure.<
You cant animate without a stickfigure so get one from droidz or make your own.

>listening and following the Cc given to you.<
It makes it much easier to animate when you know whats wrong.

>finding a plot.<
You need to know what you are gonna do, you cant just animate and make it up as you go along.

>never give up.<
If some one tells you that you suck or that you are bad, dont just quit,work on it and practice.

>dont steal animations.<
Trust me, you are going to feel so bad and you are not going to improve.

>Thread.<
Once you have made a thread, dont post all you animations at the last page, update your first post.

Simple ground level movements.

>Easing.<
Hard to master but makes your animations look damn good.

Basicly moving every joint per frame.

That easing test above was very stiff, lets fix it and see what it looks like:

These can make your animation look better and more interesting.

>Fading<

Changing from dark to light,light to dark,dissapering.

Make the figure white
Then go to the define custom colors,Go to the box next to 'Lum:'And put in "200".
Then in the next frame go back to the box 'Lum:' And put in "90"
Then in the next frame go back to the box 'Lum:' And make it black

It should look like this.

You can also fade it out,Do the same steps as the one above but in reverse.

Use this in changing of scenes or with 3d.
You use a horizontal trans stk and a vertical trans stk.

There is the long trans/fade.

They are small shapes,circles,used to the particle effect.They are pretty hard to animate.
